Welcome to 2022!

Dear Parents,

Welcome to Hoodan-Noor (Guidance of the Light) Arabic and Religion School, we are very excited to begin another year of learning Arabic and religion.

At our school, not only do our students learn to read, write and understand Arabic, but we focus on our religion including Ramaḏān and Eid celebrations, lessons about our culture, manners, respect and traditions.

We provide our students with:

  • Our Modern approach to teaching Arabic.
  • The use of technology in the class.
  • Hands on educational games and more!

During the Holy month of Ramaḏān , we organise—with the parents—“Ifṯār” for our students each lesson. Our students learn the importance of religion and the value of fasting and praying.

Most of our students attend 1 lesson each week which includes: 1 hour and a half of Arabic and 1 hour of religion. Praying is an essential part of our religion lesson and one student will always perform as the Imam. (Please make sure all students bring their praying mat along, and girls also pack their praying outfit).

Our religion lessons are all free. It is complimentary by our school.

– We provide our students with all stationary needed (Folder, Booklets, pencils, etc.).

During each lesson we have short breaks and we encourage all students to bring a bottle of water and healthy snacks, fruit, or sandwich (Please NO chips or junk food).

– We do organise free picnic days for our students, families and our community but this year it will depend on the current government rules and regulations due to COVID-19.

– At the end of each year, we celebrate the success of our students and in appreciation of their efforts throughout the year, by hosting our annual Hoodan-Noor (Guidance of the Light) Award ceremony that includes performances presented by our students, and the gifting of our awards and trophies to our students.

Our number 1 goal is to focus on the future of our students making sure our language and religion is passed on positively and correctly. God willing, and with God’s grace, strength, and good luck.
